This collection was one of the most joyful collections of my career. The incredible colour and luscious fabrics lifted everybody in the workroom. The collection came out with the kind of ease that rarely happens in high- fashion.
I draped directly on to mannequins to create many of these abstract lines. We also had the joy of working with a Bridal Couture sample machinist who taught us how to do 2mm rolled hems.
The Love Dress was our best selling dress ever and something we recut many times. It also boasted a 10m hem circumference and made every woman who put it on feel like a goddess.
We presented this collection at boutique hotel Mollies in Auckland in a salon style show. Our fashion showroom Showroom 22 gathered together an intimate group of media to view the collection as I talked through every piece.
